It has been 7 Years since CM Punk Left WWE in 2014 and left pro wrestling to move into MMA, Acting and Movies and seemingly leave pro wrestling behind.  CM Punk stated on many occasions he wasn't interested in wrestling and he didn't feel there was any reason for him to come back.  When CM Punk did talk about wrestling he stated he wanted a new challenge and if he did want to come back it would have to be something that he was interested in and something that he wanted to do, not just coming back to come back. AEW and its flagship TV show AEW Dynamite has been established since Oct 2019 and since that launch they have been opposed by WWE and WWE NXT brand.  WWE along with USA network put NXT on USA Network on Wednesday nights to oppose AEW on TNT Network. WWE made a statement and as from 30 March 2021 NXT will now to on Tuesday nights leaving AEW unopposed and the only wrestling show to watch on Wednesdays. AEW are now on their own and with NXT on Tuesday all the focus will be on them. They have their own night and will have the whole audience.
