Sadly this week the news that Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth) amongst many others  were released from WWE. It's horrible to hear of them all losing their jobs, going through something similar myself right now i can relate to the uncertainty, pressure, stress and anxiety it can cause. If you can send them a positive tweet, message and let them know you care, the positive support of others means so much. I hope that they all find new jobs within new companies within pro wrestling and whether that be AEW, Impact, ROH, NJPW or independent scene. Nic Nemeth is someone i want to focus on because i think he would be a perfect fit into AEW and could be a huge asset to the company and for all the roster. I want to preface this blog with this, what is written here is my own opinion, I'm an AEW Fan and none of us (apart from Tony Khan and CM Punk) fully know what the full situation. Its merely my opinion on the CM Punk saga in AEW and what Ultimately led to his demise within the company It's  been just over a week since CM Punk was fired by AEW for cause. Era of Aldis is Ending - Nick Aldis leaving NWA In a video posted on Nov 6 for subscribers (although accidently got posted for everyone) Nick Aldis announced that he will be leaving NWA on expiry of his contract on Jan 1 2023. Aldis was the founding member of Billy Corgan NWA, being there from day one, a mainstay of the Billy Corgan era. Aldis starting a feud with then NWA Champion Tim Storm and telling an incredible story throughout the early stages of NWA on a Youtube series called 10 Pounds of Gold. I think 10 Pounds of Gold really helped show the world who Nick Aldis is and give more exposure to him as a wrestler and also as a human being. It did the same for Tim Storm & fans got an insight and it was a series that got fans to care about both of them and really helped establish both in the NWA. Following AEW All Out Pay Per View on Sunday Sept 4, the comments by CM Punk and the furore that followed with alleged backstage fight, biting and all out chaos, It led to CM Punk being Stripped of his AEW World Title and Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson and Kenny Omega (The Elite) being stripped of their newly won AEW Trios titles. The weeks that have followed there have been unconfirmed reports of legal action and wrangling behind the scenes as well as Ace Steel reportedly being let go by AEW. The dust has ben settling since the incident took place and it looks like now that there may be a return on the table for The Elite.   On Feb 15th 2022 it was announced on AEW twitter via a statement for AEW owner Tony Khan that Cody Rhodes along with his wife Brandi could not come to an agreement on a new deal and that Cody and Brandi have left AEW in both capacity as wrestlers and also Cody as Executive Vice President and Brandi as Chief Brand Officer for AEW.
