Will WWE Twitch Steaming Policy Hurt Them in the Long Term?

WWE in Sept 2020 notified their contracted talent that they would no longer be able to stream on Twitch and use any other 3rd party platforms.  WWE informed talent that they would not be able to keep the revenue generated from Twitch or any other 3rd party and that this would be encapsulated into their contractual agreements and the money generated would go to WWE.  WWE Contracted talent using Twitch do not use their WWE name and stream under their own names. WWE believe that they own the talent wrestling characters as well real names although talent is classed as independent contractors in America.  An Official  www.wwe.com statement read “Much like Disney and Warner Bros., WWE creates, promotes and invests in its intellectual property, i.e. the stage names of performers like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Big E and Braun Strowman," the statement read. "It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to drive revenue, which in turn enables the co

Are Fan Expectations for Kenny Omega in All Elite Wrestling too high?

Are Fan Expectations for Kenny Omega in  All Elite Wrestling too high? I saw this post above on Twitter recently and was originally posted on Reddit by user U/Miber3 and it really got me thinking.  It is interesting to see that Kenny Omega has a similar Singles record in both companies and  a lower Tag Team win percentage in NJPW and the match rating is also very similar between both companies  too.  There has been a lot of talk and a narrative from wrestling fans since Kenny Omega joined AEW. Fans had seen what he had done in NJPW and the epic matches that he had with Okada, Naito and many others and immediately expected the same in AEW. Kenny Omega was expected to come into AEW and start straight off the bat having these epic matches but the expectation was unfair.  Kenny Omega was in a place of transition from being a wrestler to now being a wrestler and EVP of a brand new wrestling company, leaving  Japan where we had been for a number of years and had a place of residence, to comi

Check out Weird WCW Merchandise and What It Sold For

Check out Weird WCW Merchandise and What It Sold For  I went on Ebay recently and did some research and my results are below, all prices are in UK pounds and sold on either Ebay Uk or Ebay USA (and price converted)  Here are 9 Random Items of merchandise from WCW and what they sold for.  Vintage WCW Roll-A-Roos So we kick this off with a strange one, I am not going to lie i had no idea what a Roller-A-Roo was so i actually had to  look it up! its a clear plastic exterior and a smaller weighted ball inside of it.  When it is rolled on a floor, it wobbles and twists in various unpredictable directions. This sold for £24.06. WCW Sting Statue  I actually have this in my own collection. I have Sting, Hogan, Goldberg and DDP. I have them loose too and this loose version of Sting sold for £15 These are really good detailed figures and look great on a shelf at home, if you see any for a good price snap them up, there is also Kein Nash, Konnan and Buff Bag

I Love but am confused and frustrated with All Elite Wrestling

I Love but am confused and frustrated with All Elite Wrestling I have been debating about whether i should write about this or not. I love All Elite Wrestling I love that there is an alternative wrestling product and there is something new to challenge the established wrestling companies and to help everyone raise their game. When AEW was announced and the press conference took place I was so happy, to see the formation of a new company something which i thought i would never see in my lifetime with the hottest free agents in the world Kenny Omega, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson and Cody was a dream come true. AEW stated that they were going to have rankings and be a sports centric product that took wrestling seriously and was going to be something fresh for the lapsed fan and be something that they could be proud to say they watched. Fast forward a few months later Oct 2019 and AEW Dynamite, AEW weekly TV show begins and there was so much buzz and so much excitemen
