Era of Aldis is Ending - Nick Aldis leaving NWA In a video posted on Nov 6 for subscribers (although accidently got posted for everyone) Nick Aldis announced that he will be leaving NWA on expiry of his contract on Jan 1 2023. Aldis was the founding member of Billy Corgan NWA, being there from day one, a mainstay of the Billy Corgan era. Aldis starting a feud with then NWA Champion Tim Storm and telling an incredible story throughout the early stages of NWA on a Youtube series called 10 Pounds of Gold. I think 10 Pounds of Gold really helped show the world who Nick Aldis is and give more exposure to him as a wrestler and also as a human being. It did the same for Tim Storm & fans got an insight and it was a series that got fans to care about both of them and really helped establish both in the NWA.
