What Legacy is WWE Clash at The Castle Making in the UK?

We have had 3 WWE PLE in UK in recent times, WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales on 3 September 2022 was the first WWE PLE since WWE Insurrextion on 7 June 2003. This was then followed by WWE Money in Bank at 02 Arena on 1 July 2023. The most recently installment WWE Clash at The Castle Scotland from OVO Arena, Glasgow on June 15 2024. Today i'd like to focus on WWE Clash at The Castle PLE's and after two of them in recent years what legacy is it creating in the UK. Everyone remembers Summerslam 1992 at Wembley and how much that meant to wrestling fans in the UK and what it did to shape fans of wrestling.  To have a full PPV authentic from America with the biggest stars, from the biggest show - it was one of the biggest moments for UK Wrestling fans ever. Alot of those fans who attended later becoming, wrestlers and personalities in the wrestling business today both in the UK and abroad. It help shaped a future generation to have a love and a passion for something that se...

Will WWE Twitch Steaming Policy Hurt Them in the Long Term?

WWE in Sept 2020 notified their contracted talent that they would no longer be able to stream on Twitch and use any other 3rd party platforms.  WWE informed talent that they would not be able to keep the revenue generated from Twitch or any other 3rd party and that this would be encapsulated into their contractual agreements and the money generated would go to WWE.  WWE Contracted talent using Twitch do not use their WWE name and stream under their own names. WWE believe that they own the talent wrestling characters as well real names although talent is classed as independent contractors in America.  An Official  www.wwe.com statement read “Much like Disney and Warner Bros., WWE creates, promotes and invests in its intellectual property, i.e. the stage names of performers like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Big E and Braun Strowman," the statement read. "It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to driv...

Revisiting TNA Imact Wrestling House Show Bournemouth UK Jan 26 2010

Revisiting TNA Impact Wrestling House Show Bournemouth UK Jan 26 2010 Recently I have been cleaning around my house and tidying a lot of things up. While doing this I found a programme from TNA Wrestling UK Tour 2010 show in Bournemouth. I haven't looked at this program for some time and to see so many of the stars on the front cover and to see what a stacked roster TNA Impact Wrestling had at the time was insane.  Everyone from Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Aj Styles Team 3D and more. TNA had so many great talents and I think that is appreciated more now in 2020 than it was a decade ago  I had never been to any TNA show before and was really looking forward to it my brother and my best friend were with me as well and i remember walking to the venue from the car park and having a great feeling of excitement before going into the show. The Venue was really nice and had a nice sized lobby area where we could hang out for a bit before going into the show....

Doug Williams - British Pro Wrestling Legend Retires

Doug Williams - British Pro Wrestling Legend Retires 2018 Saw the last year of in ring professional Wrestling for UK wrestling Legend Doug Williams. Doug Williams has had a huge influence on UK Professional Wrestling and Doug Williams helped keep the UK scene and UK Wrestling alive when it was on its knees from the nineties into the early 2000s. Back then in the mid nineties at  most UK shows couldn't draw 50 people, and a lot of the shows at that time were parody shows of WWE and what was popular in WWE.  The UK had a handful of their own stars to speak of on a domestic or international Level but   Doug Williams was out there travelling the UK making a name for himself, being original, wrestling a British Wrestling style and being successful. Doug Williams was so good he then started travelling the world from USA to Japan and everywhere in between making a name for himself, wrestling the technical UK style and changing the perception of what UK wrest...
