In 2020 WWE signed a multi year deal with TNT Sports (BT Sport at the time) to air WWE programming WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and WWE NXT.  Channel 5 also airs highlights of WWE RAW and WWE Smackdown but on a week delay - Channel 5 is a free to air channel here in the UK.  Last week I received an email as a WWE Network subscriber here in the UK to inform me that I could now watch WWE NXT every week on WWE Network from 3rd Jan 2024. So this email got me thinking - is the WWE/TNT Sports UK TV deal coming up soon? it looks possible. Looking at the original story of the deal being made in 2020 multiple sources claim that it is a "multi year deal" See below  ( https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a28113145/wwe-smackdown-raw-watch-uk-tv-bt-sport/)     I could not find how many specific years that was., However I thought i'd give my opinion on where WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown could end up in 2024, The rights fee's obviously are alot less than there are in ...

Roman Reigns has been WWE universal champion as of this writing for an incredible 1058 days. The Story of Roman Reigns and the Bloodline has been one of the most engaging compelling piece of storytelling in many years in WWE. Roman won the WWE universal title in August 2020 from Bray Wyatt, and since put on some tremendous matches along the way.  Looking back at these matches so many of them stand out Logan Paul at Crown Jewel,  Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, Drew Mcintyre at Clash at The Castle, Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemaina 39. There is no denying that the quality of the matches has been great. WWE even felt strongly that the Universal title wasn't being defended as much and Triple H (Head of Creative, WWE) came out on WWE RAW and said  because WWE felt Universal title was not being defended as much they created WWE Heavyweight Title on 24 April 2023  in order for this to be defended more on TV and on Premium live events. What ...

How would you improve WWE Smackdown? As always everything written below is my opinion as a wrestling fan. I'm not a wrestling expert nor do I proclaim to be one! I have a love for wrestling and written below is my perspective :) Please read and Enjoy Thanks I remember seeing the 1 st episode of Smackdown it was 1999 and it was a Saturday morning. My Friend Matt had SKY TV at his house so I used to go over every Saturday morning and watch wrestling (as we were young at the time we weren’t allowed to get up at 1am to see Raw). Usually there was WWF Metal or some other highlight show on telling us about the goings on in WWE that week however this week in 1999 was different. That is how we kept up with wrestling we didn’t have Internet or smartphones then and information in the palms of our hands. We sat there in Matt living room I was sat on a wooden chair and suddenly that music hit and that intro started and we looked at each other and said “what on eart...

WWE,TNA and Wrestling - It was better when I knew Less Myself and my brother were talking recently and My brother said that he felt like he enjoyed wrestling more when we knew less about it. I got me thinking about wrestling in the modern era and how much wrestling has changed since I first started watching as a 5 year old child.   It was 1991 I was 5 years old as I said and there is no Internet. We have no SKY TV (pay TV) and we don't even have a video recorder at home at the time. I first managed to see what Wrestling was  by seeing a WWF Wrestling Video at my friends house which introduced me to the awesomeness that is professional wrestling. From that day forward I was hooked on it and have been watching it ever since.   At That Point we could only see wrestling when my friends (or their parents) would buy a new wrestling video. So we weren't exposed to Wrestling much at all and certainly did not know any of the inner workings or what went on backstage....
