WWE TV in UK 2024 Will it Stay on TNT Sports, Move Back to Sky or Somewhere new?

In 2020 WWE signed a multi year deal with TNT Sports (BT Sport at the time) to air WWE programming WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and WWE NXT.  Channel 5 also airs highlights of WWE RAW and WWE Smackdown but on a week delay - Channel 5 is a free to air channel here in the UK.  Last week I received an email as a WWE Network subscriber here in the UK to inform me that I could now watch WWE NXT every week on WWE Network from 3rd Jan 2024. So this email got me thinking - is the WWE/TNT Sports UK TV deal coming up soon? it looks possible. Looking at the original story of the deal being made in 2020 multiple sources claim that it is a "multi year deal" See below  ( https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a28113145/wwe-smackdown-raw-watch-uk-tv-bt-sport/)     I could not find how many specific years that was., However I thought i'd give my opinion on where WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown could end up in 2024, The rights fee's obviously are alot less than there are in ...

Roman Reigns WWE Universal Title Record Reign Does it Matter?

Roman Reigns has been WWE universal champion as of this writing for an incredible 1058 days. The Story of Roman Reigns and the Bloodline has been one of the most engaging compelling piece of storytelling in many years in WWE. Roman won the WWE universal title in August 2020 from Bray Wyatt, and since put on some tremendous matches along the way.  Looking back at these matches so many of them stand out Logan Paul at Crown Jewel,  Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, Drew Mcintyre at Clash at The Castle, Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemaina 39. There is no denying that the quality of the matches has been great. WWE even felt strongly that the Universal title wasn't being defended as much and Triple H (Head of Creative, WWE) came out on WWE RAW and said  because WWE felt Universal title was not being defended as much they created WWE Heavyweight Title on 24 April 2023  in order for this to be defended more on TV and on Premium live events. What ...

Mick Foley was right to Speak Up WWE needs to be Better

Mick Foley was right to Speak Up WWE needs to be Better Mick Foley recently did a video (which you can see below) its entitled "WWE We have a problem" I want to first off give massive credit to Mick Foley for coming out and saying what he did because it would of been very easy for Mick to sit back and think it but to record it put it out there and spark a debate is very brave.  It wasn't easy for Mick to come out and say what he did with so many friends, fellow wrestlers and colleagues of his still working for the company and reports are that many at WWE aren't happy with what he said either but I think they needed to hear it.  WWE needs to be challenged to be better.  WWE isn't a bad company far from it, they have created so many great memories, moments and events over the years WWE was great, but that's what Mick is getting at WWE WAS great but isn't where it used to be right now.  Its creatively challenged and uninspired at the moment WWE needs to...

19 Years Since WWE Montreal ScrewJob - Who won?

19 Years Since WWE Montreal ScrewJob Who Won?  It has been 19 years since one of the most famous and infamous scenarios in Wrestling history. Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series 1997 Main Event for WWF World Title. Bret who was being forced out of WWF in 1997 following Vince Mcmahon informing him that Vince could No Longer Honor Bret Hart Contract and that he was free to Negotiate with rival promotion WCW (World Championship Wrestling). Bret took up that option and agreed a reported $3 Million a year contact for 3 Years with rival WCW. Bret Hart was WWF champion at the time and WWF were trying to come up with a way for Bret to drop the championship before he left for WCW. Bret in his WWF contract had it stipulated that he had reasonable creative control in his contract for the last 30 days of his WWF agreement. Survivor Series 1997 was taking place in Montreal and Bret Being from Canada proclaimed that “he did not want to lose in Canada as he w...

A Rocky Road to Wrestlemaina 32

A Rocky Road to Wrestlemania 32 I was watching Pro Wrestling report Recently and Opinionist David Herro did his segment where he talks DHHS (David Herro Has Spoken) and its him speaking the truth as he See's it about professional wrestling. David talked about their recently experience about going to WWE Smackdown in Milwaukee and the lack to talent on the show. David Remarked that at WWE Smackdown in Milwaukee there was no Roman Reigns Brock Lesnar The Undertaker Big Show Kane John Cena Seth Rollins Randy Orton Becky Lynch Sasha Banks Charlotte The New Day You can see David DHHS Segment as part of this Episode of Pro Wrestling Report Primetime (at 27:36) David remarked that fans complain about John Cena and Roman Reigns being in WWE but the Smackdown show he saw in Milwaukee was a taste of WWE without those top talents and that the talent pool is very thin right now. I wanted to add my own 2 cents into this debate also........but ...

WWE RAW 2:15 says it’s Time to Change

WWE Raw 2:15 says it’s Time to Change Honestly, its quite sad in 2015 that I am going onto the WWE Network and instead of Watching Raw from a few weeks ago or a Raw from this year, I am going back and watching 1995,1996,1997,1998 Raw Episodes. I'm watching episodes and matches that I have seen a lot before why am I watching it you say? Because it’s more compelling than what I see on a Monday Night in 2015 WWE over the past couple of years has been having something of a struggle the struggle seems to be Character Development, quality television, story and execution. Unfortunately this isn’t just my opinion but the opinion also of a dwindling fan base that’s wants to be entertained and needs to have something to get excited about and enjoy. Looking back over the past few years its been hard for WWE, They have lost a number of big time, experienced Main event players on a full time basis or altogether ranging from Triple H The Rock, Brock Lesnar,...
