Wrestling has always been about telling stories and creating moments. wrestling has always been a industry of telling good vs bad, one guy against another and whether good can indeed overcome evil. That is wrestling in its simplest form, you can add more complexities to it, more nuances, more layers to the story and the more compelling you make it, the more involved the fans become, the more they want to see where the story goes and the eagerness to see that story come to a conclusion. That's the magic of Pro Wrestling is making someone feel something, that's why i loved it so much as a child my superheroes weren't Superman or Batman they were real life pro wrestlers that told me stories of good vs bad,. We have had 3 WWE PLE in UK in recent times, WWE Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales on 3 September 2022 was the first WWE PLE since WWE Insurrextion on 7 June 2003. This was then followed by WWE Money in Bank at 02 Arena on 1 July 2023. The most recently installment WWE Clash at The Castle Scotland from OVO Arena, Glasgow on June 15 2024. Today i'd like to focus on WWE Clash at The Castle PLE's and after two of them in recent years what legacy is it creating in the UK. Everyone remembers Summerslam 1992 at Wembley and how much that meant to wrestling fans in the UK and what it did to shape fans of wrestling.  To have a full PPV authentic from America with the biggest stars, from the biggest show - it was one of the biggest moments for UK Wrestling fans ever. In 2020 WWE signed a multi year deal with TNT Sports (BT Sport at the time) to air WWE programming WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and WWE NXT.  Channel 5 also airs highlights of WWE RAW and WWE Smackdown but on a week delay - Channel 5 is a free to air channel here in the UK.  Last week I received an email as a WWE Network subscriber here in the UK to inform me that I could now watch WWE NXT every week on WWE Network from 3rd Jan 2024. So this email got me thinking - is the WWE/TNT Sports UK TV deal coming up soon? it looks possible. Sadly this week the news that Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth) amongst many others  were released from WWE. It's horrible to hear of them all losing their jobs, going through something similar myself right now i can relate to the uncertainty, pressure, stress and anxiety it can cause. If you can send them a positive tweet, message and let them know you care, the positive support of others means so much. I hope that they all find new jobs within new companies within pro wrestling and whether that be AEW, Impact, ROH, NJPW or independent scene. Nic Nemeth is someone i want to focus on because i think he would be a perfect fit into AEW and could be a huge asset to the company and for all the roster.   Roman Reigns has been WWE universal champion as of this writing for an incredible 1058 days. The Story of Roman Reigns and the Bloodline has been one of the most engaging compelling piece of storytelling in many years in WWE. Roman won the WWE universal title in August 2020 from Bray Wyatt, and since put on some tremendous matches along the way.  Looking back at these matches so many of them stand out Logan Paul at Crown Jewel,  Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber, Drew Mcintyre at Clash at The Castle, Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemaina 39. There is no denying that the quality of the matches has been great. Era of Aldis is Ending - Nick Aldis leaving NWA In a video posted on Nov 6 for subscribers (although accidently got posted for everyone) Nick Aldis announced that he will be leaving NWA on expiry of his contract on Jan 1 2023. Aldis was the founding member of Billy Corgan NWA, being there from day one, a mainstay of the Billy Corgan era. Aldis starting a feud with then NWA Champion Tim Storm and telling an incredible story throughout the early stages of NWA on a Youtube series called 10 Pounds of Gold. I think 10 Pounds of Gold really helped show the world who Nick Aldis is and give more exposure to him as a wrestler and also as a human being. It did the same for Tim Storm & fans got an insight and it was a series that got fans to care about both of them and really helped establish both in the NWA.
