Orange Cassidy - Making the AEW International Title matter

Source - allelitewrestling.com

Orange Cassidy is one of the most compelling, interesting, exciting and polarizing wrestlers in all of pro wrestling.

Some people love him and some people hate him. Orange Cassidy has a very unique in ring style and way he approaches wrestling and what he does in the ring.

I'm not a pro wrestler so i will not and can not critique who is good and not good within the ropes but what I will say is everytime i see Orange Cassidy its fun, exciting and i am always entertained.

Wrestling to me is about being entertained, getting lost in the moment and story, Orange Cassidy does this and does it so well and is one of the best in AEW.

Orange Cassidy Won AEW international Title at AEW Dynamite on 12th October 2022 defeating PAC, When Orange Cassidy won that title i don't think anyone would know what would happen next.......

Orange Cassidy has been on this incredible run of AEW international title defences (as of this writing its 27 Matches!)

You can view a list all of  Orange Cassidy title defences here https://www.cagematch.net/

Orange Cassidy has made AEW International title mean something, he has defended his title in so many different ways from 1-1 matches to 20 Man Battle Royal, fans have gravitated towards him even more.

The more defences and the more entertaining matches he has had have created a huge wave of momentum for him.

Fans want to see Orange every week on AEW TV whether it is Dynamite, Rampage or Collison and to see how he is facing next and what the match will be, and in what unique way they will be entertained.

That to me is the key, AEW has an entertaining, important part of the show that people want to see and will pay money to see, Orange Cassidy was created outside of AEW but AEW have given him the platform to reach more people, to capitalise in what he is and monetise what he is with merchandise, figures and T shirts, Orange Cassidy has turned himself into an attraction.

A new layer to Orange Cassidy has been shown and a toughness to the character that people did not see previously. Not just in his matches (which are becoming epic wrestling match affairs) but this is illustrated with Orange Cassidy after every match and title defence coming out to his next match with more athletic tape on his back/shoulders, its showing his wear and tear as champion and the toll all the defences are having on him.

I think its become a perfect mix AEW needed someone to elevate the AEW international Title, to make fans care about it, what it is and to make it special. Sometimes the title needs the right wrestler to make it special.

The way the title run has been handled is unique and added the to uniqueness of Orange Cassidy himself they have complimented each other perfectly and created one of the best title runs in wrestling.

20 Year Anniversary of CSF Pro Wrestling (CSF Wrestling UK)

Happy 20 Year Anniversary  CSF Pro Wrestling (CSF Wrestling UK)  Can you remember what you were doing in November 1998? Let me take you back in time, it was a month where  Tragedy by Steps was number 1 in the charts in this month Dion Dublin was Footballer of The Month for November 1999 Manager of The Month was Harry Redknapp  In the world of wrestling  WWE (then WWF) were gearing up for Survivor Series 1998 where The Rock won the Deadly Game Tournament defeating Mankind in the finals.   In WCW they were preparing for WCW World War 3 PPV Me? When I think back to that time I was busy playing WCW/NWO revenge on the N64 in year 8 at secondary school but at that time Stuart Natt was doing something very different he was  taking on the world of professional wrestling  and created his own wrestling company CSF Wrestling. CSF Wrestling actually first started out as CSF Promotions and the idea behind the company was to promote...

My Memories Kevin Nash WCW years 1996-2001

My Memories Kevin Nash WCW Years 1996 -2001   After the success of my last blog Kevin Nash the WWE years 1993-1996 (Which can be viewed here)   http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=1989536858659423683#editor/target=post;postID=6495934313225897804     Based on feedback I received I decided that I would do another blog on Kevin Nash this time looking back at the next part of his career from Mid 1996-2001 Kevin Nash Career in WCW.   This blog differs slightly to the last one as at this time in my life we could not watch WCW here in the UK as we did not have Sky TV Therefore some of this I saw at the time and other things I have had to research.       When Kevin Nash Left WWF in May of 1996 it was to move to longtime WWF Rival WCW. Kevin was no stranger to WCW having been in WCW before he came to WWE in 1993. Kevin Came in  to WCW a week after his good friend Scott Hall made his debut on WCW Nitro May 27th 19...
