Progress Wrestling has always been a fun exciting show and Chapter 57 Enter Smiling was gearing up to be one of the best yet.

I again made the trip to Manchester, this time I had to get 2 coaches and made the 9 hour journey on Saturday to get to Manchester, I got there safely and then got to the show on Sunday with my friend Sabrina.

As I walk through the doors there its as always a great atmosphere and we have standing tickets so we walk across to the far end of the venue and as we have standing tickets we decide its easier to stand by the stage and watch the show.

Jim Smallman kicks us off as always and the crowd are hot  and ready for the show to begin!!

Results and Notes below
(All pictures taken by me at the show)

Jimmy Havoc & Mark Haskins defeated Sexy Bros (Jack Sexsmith & Matt Riddle) by Pinfall.

Mark Haskins, Jimmy Havoc and Vicky Haskins are out first and they get into the ring and have smiles on their faces as Jack Sexsmith makes his way onto the stage.

Jack Sexsmith says you cant rely on friends but you can rely on Bros and out comes Matt Riddle!!!!

Unfortunately Riddle and Sexsmith were unable to overcome Havoc and Haskins when, Havoc and Haskins duct taped Matt Riddle to the ring post and he was unable to free himself to stop Havoc and Haskins getting the pinfall victory.

Joe Coffey defeated Doug Williams by Pinfall.

As many of you know reading this blog I am a huge Doug Williams fan I have seen him across the south west and got to work with him a couple of times and he is tremendous, you always see something new when Doug Williams wrestles and this match was class, my favourite of the night.

Jo Coffey also deserves praise as he and Doug Williams went toe for toe and at one point move for move where they mirrored each other!

Joe Coffey defeated Doug Williams but as the match ended Doug Williams took the microphone from Jim Smallman and the crowd then stood on their feet clapping and cheering Williams and giving him a huge ovation for the match they had just seen.

Williams stated "after 25 years I don't think I've got it anymore" and then left with the crowd still giving him a huge ovation.

Personally I hope this isn't the end for Doug Williams, in my opinion he's a British legend, his wrestling is incredible and you don't see better pure Wrestling than him.

Four Way – Alex Windsor defeated Candy Floss, Dahlia Black & Jinny by Pinfall.

This was a crazy 4 way match with Jinny and Dhalia going at each other straight away brawling on the outside and into the crowd and they were relentless fighting each other they even disappeared backstage for some time and all the focus was on Windsor and Candy/

Candy and Windsor fought inside the ring and it was Candy main show debut and she really impressed Dhalia and Jinny made there way back and Jinny hit a fantastic dive to outside the ring. The fans boo Jinny but there is no denying her ability.

Candy but was unable to overcome Alex Windsor who won the match and then looked up at Toni Storm on Commentary and was making gestures to her it looks like that might be a match that we see soon.

British Strong Style (Pete Dunne, Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) defeated Joseph Conners & Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) by DQ

Joseph Connors comes out just as Tag Match starts and  helped Drake and Gibson attack Bate and Severn.

Then Pete Dunne music hits and he comes out to even the odds and then Jim Smallman announces this is now a 6 man Tag Team Match

Gibson and Drake try to speak on the microphone but the crowd are boo-ing them relentlessly and you couldn't even hear them speak as the crowd was so loud!

First off this was meant to be a normal tag team match then we had our 2nd surprise of the night when Joseph Conners came out and attacked Moustache Mountain, then Pete Dunne Turned up and as explained above it turned into a 6 man tag.

This was insane all competitors were fighting on the outside with a huge Dive from Tyler Bate at one point to everyone else on the outside. Pete Dunne looked like at one point when he got thrown into some chairs that he hurt his right arm, he had an ice pack on his arm and even medical personal see to him as well but Pete is able to make his way back into the match and without even using his hands knocks James Drake down!

Match ends in DQ when Joseph Conners uses a chair.

After the match Pete Dunne asks for a future match with Joseph Connors which is accepted.

PROGRESS Tag Team Championships – #CCK (Kid Lykos & Chris Brookes) defeated RINGKAMPF (WALTER & Timothy Thatcher)

The crowd were split in this match with lots of chants for CCK and also for Ringkamf. Kid Lykos tried to get the better of Walter but that was never going to happen! Walter ends up press slamming Lykos to the outside as Ring Kamf are imposing their physicality on the match.

Brookes and Lykos though manage to get themselves back into the match and mange to win the match as Brookes was getting the pinfall, Lykos flew between the ropes and prevented Walter from getting in the ring to break up the pinfall.

Keith Lee defeated Flash Morgan Webster by Pinfall

You had to feel for Flash Morgan Webster even before this match started on paper you just hoped he would be bale to get through this.

Flash tried to use his quickness and own ability but the strength and power of Keith Lee was a huge deciding factor in this match. Although Webster was successful hitting 3 Dives to Lee on the outside and also Webster got a massive cheer when he took Lee down to the canvas.

Everyone thought it was over when Keith Lee delivered a super powerbomb to Webster but to everyone astonishment Webster kicked out! The crowd got on their feet and clapped, however shortly after Lee hit a huge powerslam to obtain the victory.

However Webster earned the respect to Lee and all the fans in attendance after his excellent effort against huge odds.

Mark Andrews vs Travis Banks was something I was truly looking forward too and both men delivered exactly what I thought they were tremendous.

Andrews and Banks at the beginning of the match were wrestling each other in and out of holds with neither man getting the upper hand both men were determined and Banks came back at Andrews delivering some hard shots  but as the match continued Andrews started using his high flying style to huge effect, getting near pinfalls as the match progressed.

Banks and Andrews were relentless and both men did not want to lose this match with so much being on the line however Andrews Submitted when he got caught from a high flying manoeuvre into a crossface submission and had no other option other than to tap out.

As the fans were showing their appreciation for match someone pushed past me and ran into the ring and attacked Banks and Andrews - it was Eddie Dennis.

As the crowd are booing him and chanting "fuck you Dennis" he lays out both men and holds the Progress World Title above his head.

I loved this show from beginning to end. From Riddle, Dunne and Dennis making unannounced appearances to fantastic wrestling throughout this was again another amazing show in Manchester.

There is no better feeling than going to a show and not just getting your money worth but getting more than your money worth and that's what Chapter 57 delivered.

Thanks for Reading

Strike Wrestling Results Bournemouth May 20th 2018   Hello Wrestling fans! Welcome to the first ever Strike Wrestling Results blog!  I went to Bournemouth and took x2 trains and a bus to get there and it was well worth the effort. Before I get to the wrestling a bit about Bournemouth Bournemouth is a beautiful town it was a sunny hot day. I managed to go to the beach and see the pier and get a great view from Bournemouth on top of the cliffs, where there were also many of great restaurants and places to eat. Check out my on the road video on Strike Wrestling by clicking the video below! This was my first show at Strike Wrestling and Strike is an over 18’s show so I was expecting a different vibe, feel and presentation to family orientated wrestling that I have attended in the past. Strike wrestling is high paced, hard hitting, fast action but with a huge streak of entertainment, fun and having a great time.   From where I was

WWE TV in UK 2024 Will it Stay on TNT Sports, Move Back to Sky or Somewhere new?

In 2020 WWE signed a multi year deal with TNT Sports (BT Sport at the time) to air WWE programming WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and WWE NXT.  Channel 5 also airs highlights of WWE RAW and WWE Smackdown but on a week delay - Channel 5 is a free to air channel here in the UK.  Last week I received an email as a WWE Network subscriber here in the UK to inform me that I could now watch WWE NXT every week on WWE Network from 3rd Jan 2024. So this email got me thinking - is the WWE/TNT Sports UK TV deal coming up soon? it looks possible. Looking at the original story of the deal being made in 2020 multiple sources claim that it is a "multi year deal" See below  ( https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a28113145/wwe-smackdown-raw-watch-uk-tv-bt-sport/)     I could not find how many specific years that was., However I thought i'd give my opinion on where WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown could end up in 2024, The rights fee's obviously are alot less than there are in USA due to WWE Raw and Sma
