Pro Wrestling Stop Trial by Social Media

Pro Wrestling Stop Trial by Social Media

Everything Written here is my own opinion 110% my own view point and is not connected to anyone, person or company mentioned in this blog.

Whenever I look on social media I see a society which feels it has the right to dictate people lives, what happens and what decisions are made, this seems to me to be most prevalent in pro wrestling.

I saw this post below recently from Thomas Latimer (who plays the Character Bram in Impact Wrestling)

As you have read from Thomas Latimer statement above he was accused of something, the matter was investigated by the authorities  and he was cleared of all charges, he moved on with his life and with his job.

Thomas Latimer was cleared of all charges in 2015.

So why when Thomas Latimer was booked for a promotion recently and the advertising material went out for said promotion was then suddenly cancelled.

(I wont name said promotion you can google it if you like)

The promotion had tweets from a certain portion of "fans" which they said they would boycott the show if Thomas Latimer was booked because they believed him to be guilty.

The Promotion in question actually gave in to this portion of "fans" and cancelled Thomas Latimer from their show even though, he had done nothing wrong and was cleared of all charges over 2 years ago.

I think is awful that the promotion in question actually allowed this to happen and they allow fans to dictate their shows and how should and shouldn't be booked based of fan opinions and Not facts.

If that's the case then the promotion in question should get background check on all of their wrestlers and any with a criminal record should not be allowed on the show - whether fans love then or not, You cant have one rule for some wrestlers and one rule for another.

Thomas Latimer should be able to freely make a living - he has done nothing wrong and whether you like him or not is irrelevant - he has the right to freely make a living.

Imagine this........

you have a job you work hard at that job to make money for you and your family, Someone at work finds out that when you were younger you got into a fight at a pub and got arrested, it was investigated but never charged.

But that certain person goes to management and says they don't want to work with you because your a violent person in your past, even though you have been a model employee and never showed any aggression in the workplace, and you were never charged with anything, your boss calls you in and fires you.

Is that right? No Is That fair? No

Why should you not be able to make a living because your being judged on what a group of people think and not the facts.

This Isn't trial by social media or Trial by wrestling fans who are you to judge anybody? No one is whiter than white, we have all done things we aren't proud of, people need to remember that things they say have repercussions on people whether it be on social media or in general

, Leave the Law enforcement to the Police, Courts and Judges - actual people who are employed to uphold the law.

Women's Wrestling as I was growing up was very sparse. I was a big WWE fan and started watching in 1990 as a 4 year old. We used to see some females in front of the camera Miss Elizabeth, Sensational Sherri and more but rarely did we see them wrestle.  As time moved i...

My Memories Kevin Nash WCW years 1996-2001

My Memories Kevin Nash WCW Years 1996 -2001   After the success of my last blog Kevin Nash the WWE years 1993-1996 (Which can be viewed here)   http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=1989536858659423683#editor/target=post;postID=6495934313225897804     Based on feedback I received I decided that I would do another blog on Kevin Nash this time looking back at the next part of his career from Mid 1996-2001 Kevin Nash Career in WCW.   This blog differs slightly to the last one as at this time in my life we could not watch WCW here in the UK as we did not have Sky TV Therefore some of this I saw at the time and other things I have had to research.       When Kevin Nash Left WWF in May of 1996 it was to move to longtime WWF Rival WCW. Kevin was no stranger to WCW having been in WCW before he came to WWE in 1993. Kevin Came in  to WCW a week after his good friend Scott Hall made his debut on WCW Nitro May 27th 19...
