I want to talk about the console game and what this could mean for PS5/Xbox Series X.

AEW Games announced that they are working on a next Gen console game alongside Yukes game developers who have made wrestling games for a number of years.

Kenny Omega announced at the end of the presentation that the former director of WWF No Mercy for the Nintendo 64 Hideyuki Iwashita has also joined the team to work on the console game.

This was very exciting news as AEW has decided to get one of the minds that worked on one of the most successful wrestling games in history and taking that knowledge and experience and using it to their advantage.

I think AEW can take elements of what made No Mercy so successful and combine it with new modern graphics, frame rates and create something that will appeal to wrestling fans and also non wrestling fans a blend for success.

For PS5/Xbox Series X the developers can take advantage of new architecture, faster SSD loading times and technical advancements to truly give that next gen experience

What The New Game Needs

AEW have showed that they aren't just going to do a modern remaster or port of No Mercy put in AEW characters and then sell it that wouldn't work in 2020 they need to add their own stamp, spin and AEW flavour to it.

Story

No Mercy was my favourite wrestling game to play I enjoyed the story mode on it as you could pick a title to go for and then depending on whether you won or lost your match your path to the title would change accordingly, it had various paths you could take and cut scenes between matches too.

In addition if you won your match you would get cash and you could use this to unlock items in the store to use in the game.

AEW Games could take this idea and use it themselves and modernise this with paths to AEW World Title, AEW TNT Title and AEW Tag Team Titles it would work today and you could add so much more into it and expand it, with side stories, crossing paths or special story PPV events. This Model has not been used by anyone else and after so many years with a different perspective would feel fresh and new again.

Controls

AEW need to create a control system that is easy to pick up for first time players that they can get to grips with and progress with it and being AEW first game the controls have to help immerse the player in the experience.

Kenny Omega stated during his presentation that they wanted the console game to be like NBA Jam where it's easy to play but hard to master and give you something that will keep you engaged with it and make you want to play it even if you only have 15 minutes you can jump in have fun and enjoy the experience.

A good control scheme is key as this will hook in gamers and get them engaged in the game.

Create a Wrestler and ability to Download those Creations

Create a wrestler and the suite that is included for AEW console game is going to be super important for wrestling fans. You can see with WWE 2k, Fire Pro and more the creations that the fans and community can make and how amazing and incredible they are. Gamers make New Rings, Graphics, Wrestlers from other companies and so much more, all Yukes and AEW games need to do is give the fans the elements and see what they put together. Fans could even make career mode paths and upload these for others and play these created paths themselves.

Local Mutiplayer and a Robust Online Match Service

A local multiplayer is what No Mercy so much fun if AEW can capture any of that magic of epic matches vs your friends, the satisfaction of hitting a doomsday device when your a tag team together or throwing your friend out of a battle royal it will help make it a very well rounded game.

Additionally a robust online system where fans can take on each other in ranked matches, casual matches and even in special events for prizes would a great thing to do with this console release and players could compete from all over the world and this could be something that AEW Games can build on in sequels and in the future and expand and grow.

Kenny Omega and AEW Games have promised to keep us all updated so it will be interesting to see which direction they go in and what they decide to do, its great there is a new Wrestling game that is from wrestlers who are also gamers and know what the audience want blending the past into the future.

AEW All Elite Wrestling to Sky Sports in The UK?

AEW  All Elite Wrestling to Sky Sports in The UK?  All Elite Wrestling airs in the UK on ITV 4 on a Friday night and ITV Hub (Itv on demand service should be uploaded on a Thursday) ITV don't air AEW Dynamite live and a separate subscription has to be purchased via Fite.TV if fans wish to do this.  Initially things started off OK although @itvwrestling had difficulties getting Dynamite on ITV Hub on time (they promised Thursdays at 7pm) usually this was up on a Friday morning. However as the weeks went on the uploading to ITV hub did not get any better and as of this writing its as worse as it has ever been they don't upload the episodes consistently which is leaving many fans frustrated and ITV Wrestling haven't been communicating with fans. @ITV Wrestling haven't tweeted about AEW since Dec 5th - they haven't updated any of their graphics since Full Gear and ITV wrestling now seem totally disconnected from the fans and from my perspective th

Strike Wrestling Results Bournemouth May 20th 2018   Hello Wrestling fans! Welcome to the first ever Strike Wrestling Results blog!  I went to Bournemouth and took x2 trains and a bus to get there and it was well worth the effort. Before I get to the wrestling a bit about Bournemouth Bournemouth is a beautiful town it was a sunny hot day. I managed to go to the beach and see the pier and get a great view from Bournemouth on top of the cliffs, where there were also many of great restaurants and places to eat. Check out my on the road video on Strike Wrestling by clicking the video below! This was my first show at Strike Wrestling and Strike is an over 18’s show so I was expecting a different vibe, feel and presentation to family orientated wrestling that I have attended in the past. Strike wrestling is high paced, hard hitting, fast action but with a huge streak of entertainment, fun and having a great time.   From where I was
