Pro Wrestling Pride 15th Feb 2015 with former WWE Stars Too Cool
I attended Pro Wrestling Pride in Newton Abbott and the show was held in the Courtenay Centre in Newton Abbott on 15th Feb 2015.
It was my 1st time at this venue and I must admit I really liked it and felt the show had an amazing atompshere, with a sell out (or near sell out) crowd of people - the crowd were in to everything and were rowdy all night long (I will mention some of the chants as I go along!)
Before I start I must say that I feel that this show was one of the most complete shows that I have been too and enjoy every moment and it really was a great ride as a fan. As always everything written here is my opinion as a wrestling fan and what I remember from the show everything is written from memory too!!
so with that said lets get into the show!!
UK Dominator and Robbie Caine vs London Riot and John Harding

First match Uk Dominator and Robbie Caine walk out Dominator has a baseball bat in hand and he is not in a good mood to make his mood even worse the fans start chanting “right said Fred” which raised the ire of Dominator and he is shouting at the crowd. Robbie Caine is shouting at the fans also and he is telling them what he thinks of them and their pathetic chants. These two are such a good team and a great way to kick off a show – they are bad guys that the fans hate, truly hate and they do it so well and get people so fired up, it’s a fascinating thing to see and credit to them both for being so easy to hate!! Haha!! (only joking don’t come to my house and beat me up!!)
John Harding comes out next with a new partner for this evening London Riot, Riot is crazy and all over the place and has lots of energy and has a cricket bat with him and is getting the crowd going, Crowd love cheering John Harding and he gets A “rocker” chant and then a “Beard” chant I believe before the match starts.
There is a little time before the match begins as Dominator and Caine are in the ring with their baseball bat and competitors are waiting to get in once Bat has been removed from Dominators hands – referee gets the Bat away from Dominator and the match is on!

Robbie and London Riot start off and they tie up and Robbie with his bigger size takes Riot down , Riot goes to the outside and then comes in again and then Riot tries to hit Robbie 3 times with shoulder blocks but is unsuccessful, but then eventually manages to take Robbie down and has advantage until Dominator hits Riot from Behind and hits John Harding off the apron.
At This point in the match Dominator and Caine take control and work over Riot and he has to make the tag to Harding, I like that Robbie says things in his matches to his opponents the mix of verbally and physically intensity is great.
Harding comes in and takes it to Dominator and Caine and really gets the crowd going at this point crowd are chanting “this is awesome” at John Harding in the ring at this point however Dominator takes over again and takes John to the outside and gives him a very hard suplex right in front of me on the hard floor – John hit with a bang and dam it looked painful.
John’s Partner Hits Dominator on the floor then runs off into the crowd and gets a replica WWE title belt and gets up on the apron and does Cena’s you can’t see me to Dominator.
London Riot at one point is on the arena floor and is crawling through the legs of the fans and through the gaps in the chairs and ends up at the back of the arena and ends up- coming back.
Dominator and Caine end up winning this match and and after the match Dominator hits John Harding in the stomach with the baseball bat he brought with him and then Riot Comes in and chases off Dominator and Caine with a Cricket Bat he brought with him earlier.

Darren Saviour vs Keizer – No DQ Match

I have been really enjoying these two fight because that has been exactly what it is. Keizer is a very unique character and iv said before think this feud can bring out a different level in him and also brings out a more violent, more physical side to Darren Saviour because this feud has felt more personal a former friend Keizer turning on Saviour and their feud organically growing from this. Its Great for Saviour as it adds another aspect to his character and what he does and shows a more aggressive/down and dirty style to his game.

Keizer comes out first and comes from the back of the arena he has a gas mask on and his signature coat and he gets into the ring and berates Duncan Bugg ring announcer again and gets onto the mic. The Fans do not like Keizer one bit and again it was hard to make out what he was saying – I did make out Keizer saying “I can wait all day for you fans to shut up” Keizer does then go on to explain that it is 1-1 between him and Saviour and tonight is to decide who is the best.
Saviour music hits and he comes out and he is ready to go. Our no DQ match is underway Keizer I should of mentioned tonight has no Owen Quinn with him so it is a level playing field for Darren Saviour.

Saviour hits Forearms to Keizer and then hits Keizer with some more in the corner until Keizer falls into a sitting position at the turnbuckle. Keizer manages to get out of the ring and breaks the momentum, until Saviour does a flip dive over the top rope onto Keizer!!!
Both men get back into the ring and Keizer is able to take control of the match and gets Saviour onto the far corner, Saviour and Keizer then end up on the outside and Keizer takes down saviour and then gets saviour back in the ring and gets the chair and puts it in the ring, Darren goes for a backslide and gets a two count.
Keizer then sends Saviour into the chair and Saviour is on the canvas and Keizer puts the chair in the centre of the ring sits on it, grabs the mic and is berating Saviour and kicking him in the face disrespectful on the canvas.

Keizer continues to hit Saviour but Saviour is refusing to give in, Keizer goes to Hit Saviour again and no effect Darren is on his knees and is shouting at Keizer Hit me again, Keizer does and still no effect, Saviour gets to his feet and chops Keizer hard across the chest, Keizer tries to chop back but to no effect, saviour hits Keizer again with another hard chop , Keizer ends up in the chair and Saviour hits him with a dropkick.

Saviour then goes to the top and hits what I call “Saviour Blockbuster” for a two count and then hits Keizer with Saviour Driver for the pin!
Keizer ends up leaving the ring with the crowds chanting “nah nah nah nah nah nah wave goodbye”
4 Way Tag Team Match

I absolutely loved this now before the match started I purchased a pretty marvellous t shirt and had this on for this match! (Keep it Sexy bay bay) haha!!
Pretty Marvellous come out 1st with Tara and she is ringside with them for this match, Cain and Knott The C2 are out next with that great theme music “edge of a revolution”, Panda Cub and Danny Jones are out next.

Then next out to the ring……the fans here the words “Turn it up” and the crowd goes mental because they know who are coming Scotty Too Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay Too Cool!!!! Finally Too Cool come out and the place is rocking away the fans are loving it, Scotty goes into the crowd by me and stands on a chair grabs someone’s phone and takes a selfie with it! GrandMaster is at ringside slapping fans hands and dancing – it was great for the fans I think the entrance and energy of Scotty and Grandmaster took us all back to the attitude era. Too cool even get a little kid into the ring before the match.

Lots of shenanigans before the match with Too Cool with Scotty not sure whether to take his shirt off in front of this crowd and hesitates but finally takes it off and we start the match and it gets underway – now the rules of this match are teams are eliminated until there is one team remaining who will win the tag team medallions.
I cant remember all of this match there was so much going on and so much happening with all the different members in the ring and so much going on – I will try my best!
The match starts off with Panda and Danny Walsh in the ring but Danny gets tagged out by Josh Knott and Josh and Panda start us off. There is some funny things going on with Too Cool on the apron the crowd starting chanting “jerry Jerry Jerry” and Grandmaster said “hes not my dad” then Scotty as quick as a flash said “hes my dad!!” which got a massive laugh from the crowd. As the match continues Danny Jones gets into the ring and he did some great chain wrestling thought Danny was really good and look forward to seeing him more.
Grandmaster gets tagged in and Josh Knott is still in the ring and Grandmaster stands next to knott as he is holding his hip and is mimic-ing Knott which the crowd loved, Grand Master then gave Knott a massive wedgie in the ring and Calum Cain Enters and Scotty too Hotty comes in and Scotty hits the Hulk Hogan poses with Calum Cain in the ring looking very confused!

Scotty then gets Calum in a side headlock and then Cain gets suplexed, following this josh knott and panda end up in the ring and knott is able to pin Panda and Panda and Jones are eliminated.
Knott and cain get eliminated shortly after and now we are down to our two last teams pretty marvellous and Too Cool, Danny gets into the ring and takes it Grand Master while Mark is with scotty in the corner, The Walsh brothers unfortunately get too cocky and Too cool catch them and give them the good old (gorilla monsoon trademarked Double Noggin Knocker!!!) Too Cool then take one Walsh Brother each to the corner and Grandmaster gives Danny a corner 10 punch as Scotty is doing the same thing in sync with his partner Scotty on Mark Walsh.

However following this Pretty Marvellous are able to sneak to win by rolling up Scotty and getting the pinfall victory and retaining their Tag Team Medallions!!
After the match though Pretty Marvellous get out of the ring and back to the back but are met by Panda and Jones who throw them back into the ring Danny is now in the ring and is looking dazed Scotty hits the bulldog and now its time for the worm!!!! Scotty Hits the worm on Danny (see vid clip below)
After this Panda, Jones and Too Cool all dance in the ring and even senior referee Ed Dyer tries some “dancing too!!!”
Big Grizzly vs Bad Bones

After the break out comes Big Grizzly who has recently aligned himself with C2 – the crowd don’t like Grizzly at all and they really get onto Grizzly in this match – out next is the german Bad Bones. This match was great it had so much atompshere to it and the fans were super into it the fans were chanting “yar” for yes and “nine” for no in support of bad bones which I thought was great and again not for the first time tonight the crowd added something special to this show.
Bones and Grizzly start off and this is my 1st time seeing Bones and 2nd time seeing Grizzy after seeing him originally in Teignmouth a week ago. I said in my last blog I’m impressed with Grizzly he has a big presence and he got his personality and the crowd really got on his back in this match and following match too.

Bad Bones gets a little fan from the audience that Grizzly had just been shouting at and puts them on his shoulder and gets the fan a cheer and Grizzly gets annoyed by this and gets in the face of Bones.
Bones gets into the ring, The two men lock up and these are two big guys the crowd are really on Grizzly chanting “we hate bears” and “bears suck” Grizzly ends up outside the ring and is shouting with a fan a ringside one row in front of me Grizzly has great presence.
Grizzly gets back into the ring and eventually is able to give bad bones a fallaway slam and the sound of the ring was huge when he hit it, the match is turning Grizzly way thanks to Josh Knott and calum Cain choking Bad Bones on the ropes and choking him as much as they can. Grizzly gets Bones and has him in a choke hold, Bones manages to get out of it but Bones gets thrown to the outside.

Grizzy tries to go for his chokeslam and tries to do this a couple of times and Bad Bones comes back at Grizzly but Grizzly eventually manages to get Bad Bones in Chokeslam and manages to hit it this time and Grizzly ends up with the win.

Main event
Catch Division Championship
Tyler Hawke w/C2 vs Ultimo Tiger w/ Darren Saviour and John Harding

On a personal level these are two of my favourite performers in Pro wrestling Pride I love the attitude and cockiness and wrestling skill of Tyler Hawke and the high Flying skills and the incredible ability of Ultimo Tiger is something to behold. This match during the course of it got "this is awesome" chants twice! such a brilliant main event with so much wrestling skill on show its going to be hard for me to do this justice by just writing about it, I was so into the match that I did not got every detail of it, I got drawn into it so much and got lost in it.

I loved the the story that they were telling. This will definitely be a dvd to buy when it comes out and you can see this fantastic match for yourself and see the effort passion and commitment that these two put into this catch division trophy match.
Tyler has C2 with him at ringside and Tiger has Harding and Saviour with him. Tiger manages to get Hawke into an armbar to start things off and Hake is on the back foot however the C2 are circling ringside and Saviour and Harding are keeping them in check eventually both Tiger and Hawke make it on to the apron where Hake starts hitting Tiger on Middle rope in centre of the ring Tiger manages to come back and wraps Hawke arm around the ropes Hawke gets hit to the outside and C2 come round and Tiger and Big Grizzly get into a faceoff in front of me which leads the crowd to chant "Tigers Eat Bears" Saviour and Harding then come round and get into the face of Grizzly.

Hawke Goes for the cover and the referee started counting the fall and then Grizzly pulled the referee out of the ring, which I turned to my friend and said I think that C2 were going to turn on Hawke! Although that didn't happen in this match, thinking back to my previous blog about Teignmouth show last week where Josh Knott wasn't happy with Grizzly joining them in C2 I wonder if this is another subtle little thing that PWP are doing in the future and gives a reason for things to change or for tension to start within the group and against Hawke maybe with the dynamics of the group changing in the past few weeks it will be interesting to see where the story goes and how this continues PWP have a habit of building on story and using these things as we go forward so this could be very interesting.

Following this Grizzly and Saviour go face to face outside as action continues in the ring Tiger hits a great series of kicks to Hakwe who is on his knees in the ring Tiger is really on a roll now and Tiger goes for a pinfall and gets a 2 count. Hakwe then goes up in the corner however Tiger manages to cut him off and gets ahold of Hawke and puts him in the corner and Hawke feet are resting in the corner and then hits a spinning DDT/Neckbreaker from the turnbuckle for a 2 count.

As the match goes on Hawke gets back in control and takes Tiger up to the top of the far corner from me on his shoulders Hawke goes for a Super rolling fireman's carry slam and Hawke lands the move but lands extremely on his head and that got a "holy shit" shout from me and I thought that match might end at this point but the match continues.
Tiger hits a tiger suplex on Hawke and gets another 2 count and then Tiger manages to hit sliced bread on Hakwe and Tiger gets the win and is your new Catch division champion,
